Rumour has it that you have spotted some white hooded crows in your area.
Could this be true or is it the figment of an overactive imagination.
Can you get some pictures (not that we don't believe you !!)

'Tis true. I have been trying to get a good photo but its not that easy as they are very wary, as anyone who ever tried to catch one with a hawk or even tried to sneak up on one with a gun will tell you.
Two years ago there was one around here that was a very pale white and black instead of the usual grey and black. It was paired up to a normal one, Now this year both are whitish coloured so, what I think happened is that the normal one died and the pale one must have paired up to one of its offspring from last year thus creating a white pair.

I looked across the fields one day and thought I had spotted anoher egret, thats how white they look sometimes. I will keep trying to get a good photo and post it.
Maybe it is time to fix up the larsen trap and get an extremely close up shot!

I got a pic of one of them, it's not the best pic and it's not the whiter of the pair, but it wont let me attach as its too big, how do i save it as a smaller file??

Why don't you upload it to flickr
any sign of that photo Tom ??
I will put something up on the blog when I get time, photos are not great but at least you can see that they are a lot paler that the average hoody
